Michael Cochrane, LL.B. has been practicing law in Ontario for 30 years and is a partner with the firm Ricketts, Harris LLP. He is the author of a number of books, including Surviving Your Divorce: A Guide to Canadian Family Law (Wiley); For Better or For Worse: The Canadian Guide to Marriage Contracts and Cohabitation Agreements (Wiley); Surviving Your Parents’ Divorce: A Guide for Young Canadians (Wiley).
Mr. Cochrane has hosted a legal affairs show on BNN entitled, “Strictly Legal” and has appeared as a guest legal expert on many radio and T.V. programmes, including “Canada AM,” CBC’s “Counterspin” and “As it Happens”, as well as TVO. He writes a regular column for Zoomer Magazine and speaks frequently on a variety of legal topics to financial planners, companies, associations and the public.
