William Thomas is an author, scriptwriter, radio and television commentator and nationally syndicated newspaper columnist. He's the author of eight books of humour including one about his cat entitled Malcolm and Me, Life In the Litterbox ( McArthur & Company) and the definitive book on male behavior entitled Guys - Not Real Bright and Damn Proud Of It! (McArthur & Company). Then there was the one about his wee Irish mother, Margaret and Me (McArthur & Company) followed by the intriguingly titled, Guys: Setting Off the Jerk Detector (McArthur & Company).

His book about his dog Jake, The Dog Rules Damn Near Everything enjoyed 49 straight weeks atop The National Post's Canadian Bestseller List simultaneously hitting hit Number One in The Post, The Star, The Globe and Maclean's Magazine.

Penguin Group (Canada) published William Thomas’ latest book The Cat Rules in hardcover in 2007. Paperbound companion volumes of The Dog Rules and The Cat Rules are now available from Penguin.
